Vacation

Z and I just returned from our 7 day trip to the Smoky Mountains KID-LESS!! It was soo nice to have some time alone and get a break! It  was beautiful and relaxing!

                               We saw  a Mother bear and her three cubs while on a walk through the woods.....they blended so well to the surroundings and took us by surprise!

                              We went on a Mountain Safari tour on a Ranger vehicle! It was in the side of the cliff and uphill as well! It was so cool!

                 We rode a ski lift in Gatlinburg, TN to the top of the mountain! It was hot but gorgeous!

                                    This was alot of fun, we did it twice!

Hike to Laurel Falls!  This was a great trip and a beautiful drive as well! We hope to go back with the kids next year!

How can it be?

How can it be that my baby girl turned 6 today?? Time has really flown by! She has brought me such joy and some much needed girlie time! She is the little firework here covered in hot pink most day in the sea of boys and boy things! She is everything to us and a wonderful big and little sister! Happy Happy Birthday MY SASSY LITTLE GIRL!!
 So much has changed this year... and so many "firsts" to document!!

You are a silly little thing and make us laugh daily!

You took your first swim lessons! You are such a fish! 

At 2! Such a doll! (no more sippys!!)

 Learned to ride a two wheeler!!

 You started gymnastics! And are GREAT at it!!

  You overcame your fear of heights!!

 At 18 months you were starting to show off your own style and attitude!!

 You would loose those two perfect bottom baby teeth!! (miss them already)

 You love to entertain!!!

You have turned into such a beauty queen!

How can it be that there are 6 candles on that cake?? I need time to stop... ;)

 You've made the sweetest friends over the last few years (and some that daddy and mommy did not make for you either!!) You have picked really sweet friends and you sincerly love them ALL!!

 Ready to see where 6 will take ya!!

  Love to dress up and be ultra girlie!! (thank goodness you love hair accessories as we have a MILLION now)

 Thank goodness that there are only 1 of you as twins might have been too much BOOMER for me :) love ya though!!!

Girls~!

Today we went shopping for Boomer's 6th birthday and for her party next week (another blog entry, how can she be so old?). I was so happy to be shopping for girlie things and themes! I have so many boys that we don't ever focus on too many girl things(to my and Boomer's dismay) as they can't be hand-me downs. Well since this is her 6th birthday she wanted to help pick out the stuff. She decided on a gymnastics party weeks ago but was on the fence about the theme. She wanted Strawberry Shortcake, Princess and the Frog, Hello Kitty,and Pinkalious and a Diva type motif. She finally decided today on a GLAMOUR GIRL theme, with Pinkalious things on the side ;)! How can I say no to that face...ok, I can...... but it's her day, a girlie party and lots of pink. A mother with 3 boys and ONLY one girl can get caught up in all the pink glittery madness! I secretly want to be 6 again. The options are so cute and plentiful.(Photos of the party will come at a later date)-sorry.

But, the best thing about this experience is that I will be able to buy lots MORE girlie things, party supplies, bathing suits and LOTS of accessories. Not to mention more fun hair to braid, and LOTS and LOTS of PINK hair bows! . I will be able to now start and save Boomers cute clothes, dresses, bathing suits and hair bows to give to "her"  new UNBORN  SISTER,     well no, it is all for her new cousin. (did I freak you out?? 5 kids are ya kidding me???) I just found out that I am going to have a niece!! I am sooooooo excited to have another girl in this sea of boys we have going on! Boomer was hoping the baby would be a girl....and she finally got the girl playmate she always wanted and ("needed"). Thank you Aunt Julie and Uncle "Dirt"!!

The storm of the summer...

We had a big thunderstorm with 70-90 mile per hour winds. We have several limbs down but luckily no damage to our home, just our fence. We lost power and had a few scary moments, but we are all fine!Our neighbors however were no so lucky!They were not home so they are OK, but their favorite huge tree is not! They had a MASSIVE oak tree fall on their patio and the roof. It knocked off their chimney and threw limbs into their pool.Ruined the roof and the patio addition.The main roads to our home are closed as their are down power lines EVERYWHERE!. A road down a lady was sleeping and a limb came into her bedroom. The damages in our neighborhood are great!! We were  no power from 11 am until 11 pm....it was Hot and miserable with all 4 home and whining!We have lots and lots and lots of broken limbs that are still stuck in the tree and will take some effort to get out.We have been put on many waiting lists for tree service. Everyone needs them! However, that is nothing in comparison to some who have to replace roofs and walls and cars! We were so fortunate, really!

Crazies Car Wash!

Recently, Z decided that he would wash our cars. Soon the youngest two were "helping", well, sorta helping :)
